Biotrol Weight Loss Claims 

    It's the latest weapon in the fight against fat.  It's called "Biotrol" and it's a patented combination of herbs and Supplements, including Saint John's Wort, Chromium and Ginseng.

   But does it work?
   An independent laboratory put this all-natural fat-buster to the test.  Everywhere you look in America, you'll find overweight adults searching for that magical pill to make fat Disappear. And Biotrol researches are hoping they have the potion.

Juli Bardsley/Study Participant - "I felt wonderful, who wouldn't? 13 pounds that are no longer on my thighs, I'm very thankful for that."

Juli bardsley was one of 200 Biotrol study participants. They were weighed Underwater and measured for body fat and lean muscle mass. Then after weeks on a reduced calorie diet, and walking regimen, the study found they lost 70 percent more body fat and retained 90 percent more lean muscle than those taking a placebo.  Dr. Gilbert Kates headed the study.

Dr. Gilbert Kates/National Research Council Of Health - "Are there any risks or dangers involved with taking Biotrol that you know of just yet? None that we saw in the study or in the interviews with the subjects."

Researchers say those in the study reported they felt better, more in control of their binging and had more energy. But it's still early.

Dr. Gilbert Kates/National Research Council Of Health - "I'd like to see, we just finished this study, I'd like to see two to five year studies."

And while it's too early to say for sure Dr. Kates predicts participants will
Have to take Biotrol for the rest of their lives to maintain results. And at
27-dollars a bottle, which is only a 15-day supply, the price to stay lean is pretty hefty.

Dr. Gilbert Kates/National Research Council Of Health - "I think you have to look at that and say what are the total health benefits, what are the savings and even if it works, how much better you're going to feel about yourself."

But only time will tell if Biotrol is the new wonder diet drug of the future or
just another empty promise. 

 The side effects from Biotrol are nothing like that of Phen-Fen, you may
Recall phen-fen was linked to heart damage. Patients taking Biotrol may become more sensitive to the sun due to the Saint John's Wort.  Allergic reactions are also possible and Biotrol cannot be taken with anti-depressants.
