It's been 19 years since polio turned Dominick's world upside down. Now he's campaigning to put an end to this risk. There is another option. Polio cannot be spread through the killed injectable vaccine. Dr. Arthur Buonaspina, M.D. - "It's just as good as the oral polio vaccine. The only problem is it's a shot and shots hurt. So, in addition to three or four shots that we give infants now, it's another injection." Dominick Tenuto - "No chance that a parent or another family member or the child can contract polio with the injectable polio virus." The Center for Disease Control now recommends parents choose between the two viruses for vaccination. Dominick wishes he'd had a choice.
