Allergic reactions can be life-threatening... so call your doctor immediately if you suspect one. Make sure the allergy is noted in your medical records. Catherine Hermosilla "they wrote it down--- big red letters." Catherine also listed the allergy on a wallet card, so she's not prescribed the drug in an emergency. Some antibiotics can also increase your sensitivity to the sun, or interact with other medications. You can avoid some reactions if you take antibiotics with food or water. So ask your doctor and your pharmacist about side effects. That way you can make sure your medicine doesn't do more harm than good.
