Health - O - Rama

Glaine Stewart - "I had a lump. It was changing a little. Sure enough, he said it was
suspect."

Glaine Stewart had suspicions of his own about the mole above his left eye. But like many of us, he was hesitant to make a special trip to the doctor.

Instead, he had it checked by a dermatologist at last year's project Health-O-Rama.

Glaine - "He recommended a biopsy and sure enough it was basal cell cancer."

Not only was the cancer removed, but Health-O-Rama screenings also discovered
Glaine had h-pylori, the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers, and that was also
treated.

Project Health-O-Rama, sponsored by Channel Seven and the United Health
Organization, will visit 99-sites in Southeastern Michigan this month.

The waiting time is usually very short. As you can see, the people around me
have all be helped already. You simply go to the registration table and answer
a few questions. You can pay a low fee for some screenings, or simply opt for
the free ones. And then you're on your way to Health-O-Rama.

Vicki - "We have a lot of basic services, height, weight, cancer screenings, blood
tests, tests for h-pylori, tests for glaucoma, vision hearing, even things like
foot care."

Vicki - "It's amazing how many people don't want to officially go to the doctor's
whether they have insurance or don't have insurance."

Glaine - "I'd let it go probably and not seen a doctor because it wasn't that bad yet."

Glaine - "They got so many different things you can check. They simply have
everything!"
