Previous Story Angel Wings - Heart Surgery Being born with a hole in the heart wall is a common birth defect. Until now, doctors performed open heart surgery to patch up the hole. This meant a week in the hospital and months recovering. Now for the time, doctors at Children's Hospital can do the same thing with just a 24 hour stay.
