Christine never considered news as a possible career. She spent a short amount of time in college as the fine and performing arts editor for The Michigan Daily, and while the ballets and operas that she was used to writing stories about are a far cry from the news Channel 7 reports daily, it was a more natural transition from newspaper editor and writer to Web Producer than she first thought possible.

At Channel 7, Christine's duties include writing web stories for the morning and noon news, as well as updating world and national stories, answering viewer email, and working on several other special projects and features having to do with the www.detnow.com website.

Christine graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002 with a degree in English and a focus in creative writing. She hopes to become a published author one day.

When not writing, Christine enjoys reading, going to ballet class, and attending various productions, both cinematic and theatrical. She also has a deep seeded fondness for music, keeping in touch with her long-distance friends, and drinking large quantities of Lavazza espresso.
