How can I watch video on the Web?

We stream all of our video files with RealVideo. It is a popular and standard file format and the RealPlayer software is available at no cost to you. It may even be on your computer already.

To obtain the latest version of the RealPlayer software and plug-in for your Web browser, visit http://www.real.com. It is NOT necessary to purchase their "Pro" product. To find the free version, look in the upper right hand corner of their homepage, and click on "Free RealOne Player." On the next page, look for the link that reads "Download the Free RealOne Player Only." You will find this mid-way down the page, on the right.

You can try searching for the information by using our site search page. Not all news stories are posted on detnow.com and subsequently will not show up in the site search. 248-827-3362 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 1pm. We help as many people as we can, but you will sometimes get a busy signal, please keep trying as we are on the phone helping others. On Thursday, we staff the hotline with lawyers who will answer your legal questions for free.

How can I post a community event on the website?
If you would like to post a community event, for example information on an upcoming festival or a fundraiser, you can mail, fax, or e-mail us. Please include the following information: name and e-mail address, along with the name of the event, date(s), description, contacts for the public and location.
