Glenn Zimmerman

Joining Channel 7 in July of 2001, General Assignment Reporter Glenn Zimmerman brings a wealth of journalistic experience to the "Action News" team.

Zimmerman's career has taken him across the United States and around the world, covering weather related disasters, investigative reports, and international political events.

Zimmerman comes to WXYZ-TV from WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia where he won several AP Awards for his reporting. Before then, he worked in Tennessee and Minnesota. He has also worked in both the CBS and CNN Moscow Bureaus.

Born in Bridgeport Connecticut, Zimmerman did his undergraduate work at Boston University and received a master's degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse University.

He currently lives in Oakland County with his wife Shay.
