John Klekamp

Channel 7 General Assignment Reporter John Klekamp works to connect "Action News" viewers to a variety of stories around Detroit and around the country.

Since joining Channel 7 in March of 1988, Klekamp has covered the Dr. Jack Kevorkian legal saga, Dennis Archer's re-election, traveled to Seattle to report on the Tonya Harding case and interviewed local Detroit celebrities Tim Allen and Madonna.

Prior to joining Channel 7, Klekamp was a reporter for seven years at Phoenix's ABC affiliate KTVK-TV and has been recognized for numerous awards.

John is active in several local charities including "On My Own" and the Steppin' Out/AIDS Walk Detroit.
