Guy Gordon

Veteran Anchorman Guy Gordon has spent 22 years in broadcast journalism guiding viewers through the stories that have important local, national and international impact.

At Channel 7, Gordon leads a committed news team whose coverage and investigative reports have maintained a consistent commitment to the neighborhoods of metro Detroit.

Joining Channel 7 as a general assignment reporter in 1984, Gordon anchored "Action News" at 6 p.m. from 1989-2003 and succeeded Bill Bonds anchoring the 11pm "Action News Tonight" in 1994.

Guy Gordon's commitment to his community extends well beyond the newsroom. He is a Lay-Eucharistic minister at Christ-Church Cranbrook and serves on the Board of Directors for Oakland Family Services, a non-profit family counseling agency.

Gordon also runs the annual charity golf outing, the "Guy Gordon Classic for Kids," which has since raised over a half-million dollars for local charitable organizations.
