Mary Conway

Often on assignment in metro Detroit and around the world, Channel 7 Reporter Mary Conway profiles international issues from a Detroit perspective.

Throughout her career, she has covered major figures ranging from Nelson Mandela to every President since Gerald Ford. She reported from Austin, Texas during the 2000 election, and later traveled to Florida to cover the recount.

Conway graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been honored with numerous awards for her outstanding career in television, including a national Gracie Award in 1997 for her report on Itsumi Koga, the Farmington Hills woman from Japan accused of drowning her baby. She's also won several Emmys.

Conway and her husband reside in Wayne County.
