Stephen Clark

Since January 2003, Stephen Clark has been the co-anchor of "Action News at 6 p.m." with Diana Lewis. Clark, a veteran broadcast journalist, joined the Channel 7 "Action News" team in August of 2002, as a General Assignment Reporter, bringing with him over 20 years of experience.


Before joining WXYZ, Clark worked as a correspondent for CBS News covering the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York. Clark began his career as an anchor/reporter at KRDO in Colorado Springs, and has reported in markets from Washington D.C. (KCNC) to San Diego (KGTV), where he covered the conflict in Bosnia and the L.A. Riots.


Clark received his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado-Greely. For the documentary, Faces of War, Clark was awarded both an Emmy and the McGraw Hill Excellence in Broadcasting Award.


Clark and his family currently reside in Oakland County. In his spare time, he enjoys writing fiction, as well as writing and performing music.
