Mike Bowersock

Mike Bowersock joined the Channel 7 Action News team in December 2002 as a part of "UPN Detroit Action News." Bowersock brings over 14 years of journalism experience to the Action News team.

Bowersock worked as a general assignment reporter and anchor for over eight years with UPN-50. He started his career in Columbus, Ohio and worked with both WCMH-TV and WSYX-TV as a weekend anchor as well as a reporter.

Over the years, Bowersock has received various awards for his work, including Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards for Best Feature (1999-2001) and Emmys for Best Feature ('92, '99) and Best Reporter ('93).

Bowersock received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio State University. He is a self-proclaimed WWII buff, who enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and four children.
